More Troubleshooting...

Please make sure that Java is installed and up-to-date on your computer.

Windows Users: Download and install Java from java.com. Then, restart your computer.

Macintosh Users: Java is installed on your computer by default but may not be up to date. To verify that it is up to date, choose Software Update... from the Apple menu. If you need to install a Java update, please restart your computer following the update.

Additional Note for Macintosh Users: If your computer is running Mac OS X 10.4 or earlier, you may have to download and install Mandolane MIDI SPI from Mandolane.co.uk in order for Java to recognize external MIDI devices. The reason is that Apple left some key MIDI features unimplemented in its earlier versions of Java prior to OS X 10.5, and Mandolane MIDI SPI is needed to fill the gap. Mandolane MIDI SPI is free to use when it is used with Java applets such as those used by Music Learning Community. Once installed, you will never have to see or think about Mandolane MIDI SPI again.

If you need to install Mandolane MIDI SPI, quit and restart your web browser following the installation.
